Weekly Snippet

Last Week…

Last week was another bumpy ride on the market roller coaster!

We ended last week down from the previous week across all U.S. Equities, including Real Estate. Foreign equities were up, although barely from the week before. Bonds were mixed, but with no notable movement in either direction.

Despite the bumpiness, the following continue to remain positive YTD:

  • U.S. Large Growth – 0.02%
  • Technology – 1.54%
  • Foreign Small Cap – 0.33%
  • Emerging Markets – 0.68%
  • Foreign Bonds – 3.93%

When the markets get shaky and investors become fearful, we expect to see a shift to fixed income.  Since bonds (with the exception of Foreign Bonds) are all negative YTD, it doesn’t appear that the money is running to safety.

Have a great weekend!
