Weekly Snippet

Last Week…

For this week we’d like to try something a little different! Instead of calling the race, we’re just going to list the returns that caught our eye!

It’s simply too exciting for the first month into the new year. Not that you should take this to the bank, but recall the oft quoted phrase, “as goes January, so goes the rest of the year.”

So, while we’re rubbing our eyes making sure what we see is real, take a look for yourselves at some of these Year to Date returns already over 5% and consider that we still have 11 months ahead. Now for the caution – expect much more volatility this year than we saw last year. End of story.

  • Large cap growth- 8.75%
  • Technology- 8.66%
  • US Healthcare- 10.79%
  • Large Cap Value- 6.24%
  • Mid Cap Growth- 6.68 %
  • Small Cap Growth- 5.93%
  • Foreign Large Growth- 5.95%
  • Foreign Large Value- 7.14%
  • Foreign Small Cap- 6.51%
  • Emerging markets- 9.93%

Have a great week!
